CASA of Cook County

Of the 799,000 children served by foster care systems, over 20% of them will end up homeless after age 18.

More than enough to fill the entire length of Michigan Avenue.

Foster care should be temporary—Not a way of life.

For nearly 25 years, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Cook County has been training everyday people to stand up for abused and neglected children in an overwhelmed and extremely under-resourced foster care system. Without a helping hand from CASA of Cook County Advocates, these children might fall through the cracks and never be given an opportunity to find a place to call home.
