CASA’s mission has been close to my heart since my time at Texas Christian University, where CASA of Tarrant County was the official philanthropy of my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. Through many events and fundraisers, I developed a deep appreciation for the work CASA does to advocate for children in foster care. Watching my peers become CASA advocates and seeing the direct impact they had on children’s lives further reinforced my admiration for the organization.
Running has always been an outlet for me—a way to challenge myself while also being part of a community. When I moved to Chicago, joining local run clubs helped me build connections and find a sense of belonging in a big city. Now, I’m excited to combine my love for running with a cause I truly care about by racing with Team CASA. I’m running to raise awareness and support CASA’s mission so that more children can receive the advocacy they deserve. Every mile is a step toward ensuring that every child in foster care has a voice and a dedicated advocate looking out for their best interests. I’m proud to be running for Team CASA and to contribute to a cause that has meant so much to me for years.
