Hi! I’m Molly Vaux, and I’m excited to be running my first marathon! Originally from Maine, I’ve always had a deep love for the outdoors, especially hiking. In 2020, my now husband and I moved to Chicago during the height of the pandemic for work—neither of us had really been here before, but we quickly fell in love with the city. We’ve lived in the Avondale neighborhood for several years and recently moved to the vibrant Ukrainian Village area.
I work in public health, where I’ve had the chance to do some incredible things, including serving in the Peace Corps in West Africa. These experiences have shaped my work today, where I work for William Everett’s community engagement team, managing community violence intervention projects here in Chicago. Outside of work, you’ll find me biking all over the city, trying new restaurants or bars, or exploring Chicago’s parks and neighborhoods. I’m excited to train and be challenged for my first marathon!!
I’m running not only for the personal accomplishment but to support CASA Cook County mission!
